Wow, I haven't posted anything on here for a while now. My camera got stolen so I hadn't been able to take any pics in forever and now I have lots of pics. Mostly of Seth. He has fun playin around while brother is at school. Just a catch up about how we're all doing. My cousin James moved in with me and mom. He has joined the Army Reserve. I'm so super duper proud of him. He's 17 and he is doing so well with his life. Zeek has started some classes and seems to be enjoying them. It's nice for him to have something to do while he's stuck at Taji to keep his mind off of things. I don't know if I had mentioned this in a previous post or not, but he got promoted to Specialist. So proud of him for that. I have been out doing a lot of campaigning for Obama and Biden. We are trying to get as many votes for him in this area as we can. Nick is doing super well in school and Nick AND Seth are doing great with potty training.

K, so I haven't posted in a few days again. Things have been kind of hectic around here. Yesterday was my sister's 29th bday so we spent a lot of time getting ready for that.

Saturday we went bowling. It was a lot of fun. I think I got the lowest score of anyone, and that was with the bumpers on. LOL I am definitely not a bowler.

The other pics are of Seth riding his little bike. He finally learned how to actually pedal without help. I was so excited!

I am also excited that it is now September. Everytime the month changes it is just another sign that we are closer to this deployment being over. I really want it to be over. I can't tell you how much.

Ugh......... my mouth HURTS. The dentist visit didn't go so well today. First they didn't have time to finish both fillings so they only did the one on the left. I am extremely immune to numbing agents. (hence having to be knocked out during my c-sections) So... the doc had to use a butt load of shots right into my jaw. :( It sucks. I was numb for 3 hours. I was complaining that I couldn't feel so I couldn't eat. Then while I was getting my nails done.... it UNnumbed. I IMMEDIATELY regretted wishing that the numbing would go away because my jaw HURTS.
On another note, Nick had his first ever school pictures today. He looked so handsome. I love love loved it. The teacher said he did really well. So he goes tomorrow and he will have finished his first week of school.
Other than that the day was uneventful. I'm in pain and tired and the boys are being rambunctious as always.

OK, so I am aware that I haven't been putting anything up here in a few days and I am sorry to those that are far away and use this to keep up with me and the boys. We had a big scare with my mom. A small papercut between 2 of her fingers turned into a giant necrotic infection that made her go septic. Seriously, she could have died from a papercut. So we've been going back and forth to doctors for a few days.
Nick is doing GREAT in school. The teacher made it a point to stop me and tell me how awesome he was doing. He has school pictures tomorrow and he's starting Tae Kwon Do on Friday.
On a cruddier note, I have to go have some work done at the dentist tomorrow, yay for laughing gas. I am NOT looking forward to that at all. I hate dentists with a passion.
Some Seth news, HE LEARNED TO RIDE A BIKE! I was so way excited it wasn't funny. I do have pics of that that I will get up asap. But I hafta go do laundry now so Nick's jean shorts are clean for tomorrow :P

August 25, 2008/First day of school!

Nick started school today! I dropped him off almost an hour ago. He goes from noon to 3. He did such an amazing job. He jumped right in and he was so happy. I almost cried however. I can't believe my little baby is big enough to be in school. I got a few really good pics of him though. But since he hates having his picture taken he wouldn't let me take very many. He looked like such a little man. I will post again later today about how his first day went, but here are the pics I took this morning for right now.

So again I was sick. My belly was extremely mad at me for a few days there. But my mom felt the need to go to the hospital so I had to get up and get ready anyway. She got a papercut between her forefinger and her middle finger and it somehow turned into a giant large black hole that is eating away her hand now. So we went to feed the boys at Cheddar's then went to COX. They ended up telling her that her hand had gotten infected and turned into a giant staff infection. (which made me feel bad since the day she got the papercut she had helped me pop a staff on Nick so......) So then we went to Walgreens and got Nick the glue sticks he needed for school, since we got the wrong ones on Saturday, got her meds and went home.
And in other news, WE GOT A WII!!! So I can now go downstairs and rock out on guitar hero whenever I feel like it. And yes, I was up til 2 in the morning playing it last nite. I wouldn't stop til I got to play Bulls on Parade. It's my favorite.
Also, while we were at Cheddar's, Seth decided to eat the peppers off of my nachos and then started rubbing his eyes. They puffed up all big and turned bright red. I really did take care of it before I took the pic.

So sorry there are no pics up again today. I have come down with the stomachflu so I have been really scatter brained. We went out to get Nick all so his new school supplies today. I wanted to get pics of him picking out all the supplies he wanted BUT I forgot to bring my camera. We have to label everything tomorrow to get it ready for Monday so I know there will be pics up tomorrow.
I am going to have to call my doctor on Monday. I had a problem a couple months ago with my hands shaking to the point that I was dropping stuff all the time. They put me on a beta blocker for it and it seemed to be helping there for a while, but now it has come back with a vengence. My hands have gotten so bad that it is hard for me to write or type or anything. Also I have started stuttering my words which I have never done.
Zeek was doing well today when I talked to him. He seemed to be in better spirits. He had to let his hedge hog friend go because he didn't feel like he could take care of him well enough. I ask again that everyone would please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
Well that's all for today. Lots of pukey and sick people, school supplies, and a 4 year old that is still awake chasing the dogs around the house in circles. :P

Sorry there was no post last nite. Me and Seth have been plagued with some nasty colds and I was feeling slightly frostbitten last nite while my insides felt like they were boiling hot. But anyway, Nick has officially become a student at Nixa Early Learning Center! He is a little Eagle. I am so very proud. I signed up for PTA today and there is also an order form for t-shirts with the school logo on it and they are doing school pictures this week also (which immediately makes me regret trying to dye his hair blue because now it will be the funky purply grey color in the pics). He is getting to be such a big boy. We took him today for his physical at the doctor and they said that he has a heart murmur. For those of you that didn't already know, Nick was born with a heart murmur but it had gone away. Well it turns out that it is back now. :( They say that it will hopefully not be a big deal, that we'll just have to keep an eye on it.
I talked to Zeek yesterday and today. He has found a little hedgehog friend. He has an awesome video up on his myspace of him playing with the little guy. It's super cute. I wish he could send it here so the boys could have it as a pet. It's so adorable.
We have made a little play area for the boys downstairs that they are really enjoying. I need to get some pics of them playing down there. I am gonna get pics of Nick getting ready for school too. Until then, enjoy the Sonic the Hedgehog video. :P

I took Nick for his Pre-K evaluation today. They asked him a lot of questions, had him write a bunch of letters and words, had him hop on one foot and play catch. All kinds of stuff. The lady said that he did really well but we were still number #47 on the waiting list. (boo) But then about 30 minutes after I got home a lady called back. She was the head of the early childhood center for Nixa. She said he did so well that she wanted to start him in school right away!!! YAY!!! We have to go finish up some paperwork tomorrow morning and then he'll start school on Friday. I'm so excited! My little guy is going to be in school!
Other than that I spent most of the day cleaning the house and trying to get enough boxes moved out of my room so that there is room to walk in there. I will take some pictures of Nick's new school tomorrow to put up. :D

Wow, I can't believe that people are taking the stuff that I write on here and using it against me. GROW UP PEOPLE! I don't think it is any secret that it has been very hard for me and the boys to keep jumping around from place to place. So for me to want my own place should come as no surprise to any of you. As far as my friend Marcus goes, he is looking for a room mate too. And not that it is ANY of your business, but he is gay! He has a boyfriend that he is very happy with and he has no interest in me. So for people to blow that out of context and make it sound like I'm sneaking around on my husband or that I am planning on leaving him is compeletely assenine. I LOVE MY HUSBAND! NOTHING WOULD EVER MAKE ME LEAVE HIM! Yet there still seem to be a thousand of you out there that have nothing better to do than be trouble makers and spread rumors. Well to you I say, stay out of our lives. We have no more room for drama queens or in this case, drama KINGS. Quit trying to upset my husband who is over defending your rights and your freedoms. He knows that I love him so quit trying to make him think otherwise.

So, I started the day waking up EXTREMELY late. I guess I was so sick yesterday that I just had to sleep it off. So around 1 PM when I got up, I decided I was bored and wanted something to do. So a couple days ago I had gotten blue hair dye that nick asked for. He has a bit of Emo in him so he was really excited about having blue hair. So first thing this morning I dyed his hair. Well, I guess I didn't leave it in long enough so it kinda turned out a lite purple color. It's still really cute though. I took some before during and after pics.

Other than that, we went to Wal Mart again, got some subway for dinner and that was pretty well our whole day. I have decided that I would really like to try to find my own little apartment out here while we stay here until Zeek comes back. I'm trying to convince my friend Marcus to stay and be my room mate. I REALLY need my own place in the worst way, but I don't want the boys to be alone for the holidays and Nick's bday and everything. But we'll see what happens. We really need to start getting my mom's house put back together so that she can sell it and get a different place. This house is just to big for her to live in alone.

So hopefully soon I will have a place of my own where I can live for 6 months until I go back to Hawaii. I guess we'll find out soon enough though.

Well, we had another wonderful day of sitting at home. I got to talk to Zeek online for a good 2 hours and that was great. I played with the boys for a long time. We played with the dogs and everything. The boys got to wear some of their new winter clothes today cause it was chilly. They're shirts said 'pre school prankster'. They are so cute! We spent a lot of the day watching Wubbzy, Yo Gabba Gabba, and Ni Hao Kai Lan. Is it sad that I love watching the boys' shows with them? I don't care if it is. I think they're fun. The police kept pulling people over in front of the house all day. School just started so they are being really watchful about people going down our street. It's grand central station on this road. Anyway, even though nothing eventful happened to day, I did take some pics that I had promised to put up, but this stupid thing won't upload them tonite so I'll try to put them up again in the morn. That's it for now :P

So....... I've been sick all day. I slept until after noon. When my sister brought the boys home from staying the nite with her, my mom took us to town. She was going to the mall. Well, both boys fell asleep on the way so I told her I'd just stay in the car with them. So I went to sleep too. I think she went to Target after that. She got us Pasta House on the way home, but I didn't eat. I don't know what's up. I just feel super drained. But since Seth was sick just a couple days ago, it doesn't really come as such a surprise. Typically if one of us get sick, the rest of us do too.
Zeek was able to give a talk at church today. I was very proud of him. He said it went really well so yay! The boys went to church with my sister today since I only had about 20 minutes from the time I got up until the time church started. There is always some reason that I'm not making it to church so I'm making it my personal goal to get there next weekend. No matter what.
Sorry there are no pics again. These things get seriously boring with no pics, so I promise I will take some to put up for tomorrow's blog.

I went with my mom to get a new tattoo. She got the Japanese Symbol for peace on her back. She screamed and cried like a litte baby the whole time. There were other people that were coming in the store and once they heard her, they turned around and walked back out. The store is owned by a husband and wife and they are the only 2 people that work there. Well, while the husband was doing my mom's tattoo, the wife came out and she had a washcloth in her hands. She asked me if I could babysit for her while she was helping other customers. So she hands me this wash cloth and there was a baby blue jay in it. :) It was the cutest thing I have ever seen. I got to hold her for about half an hour and pet her and just talk to her and play with her. It was precious. I was really sad when I had to give her back and leave.
On a sadder note, I cannot find my kitten now. I had put her in the back yard and she kept walking around to the front. She was always right around the house though and now I can't find her anywhere. I started looking for her last nite a few hours after we had gotten home and I couldn't find her. I don't know if she just up and wondered off or if someone took her in. :( I want to find her really bad though. I am sick of losing everything I love. It's getting really old.
My friend Marcus is leaving to move back to California in 2 days. He's been the only friend I've had here for a while now so this really stinks. He is getting to go back to his little 3 year old baby girl, so I am happy for him. It's basically selfish. I'm not gonna have any friends here after he leaves. Yay.........

Another day that I am posting late. We spent the day at the mall yesterday getting the boys some winter clothes because it has been SERIOUSLY cold here. I got to get my nails done again, thank GOD. It was so nice. Then we went to Wal Mart......... AGAIN and then went home. The day was pretty boring overall.
I went to get my mom Cashew Inn for dinner and found a little kitten. It's now outside screaming at the top of its lungs, but my mom refuses to let me keep it in the house. So now I am getting a hold of everyone I know to see if they can keep a kitty. She is so flippin sweet. I want to keep her so bad. She is a lover. :)
Sorry I didn't take any pics again, but I probably won't have any again today because my sister is keeping the boys overnite. But we'll see.

Sorry I didn't post anything up last nite. We did NOTHING yesterday. Literally sat at home watching cartoons the whole day. It was way boring. My friend Marcus came over last nite to watch Anchorman with me. That's was the highlight of my day. That is my favoritist movie ever and it always puts me in a good mood. Other than that the day was completely uneventful. We're gonna be out and about here at some point today so hopefully I'll be able to get some pics or something so that the blog for today will be a little more exciting.

August 13, 2008 Cont'd

Well the rest of today was all about running errands. I took the boys to get their hair cut at Nixa Barber and Style. I got their hair cut back down to a fade because it's been pretty warm here and they've been sweating a ton. Well the owner there, Jimmy, saw my shirt and started talking about his son who is also in Iraq. When we finished talking he told the girl that was cutting the boy's hair to ring it up so she would get paid of it but not to take my cash, that this haircut was on him today. It was so sweet. It's really nice to feel sometimes how much people appreciate the sacrifice that Army families make. When we were done the girl that cut their hair took a pic of us in front of the barber pole. It had an Army Strong sticker on it, but you can't see it in the picture.

From there we went to go get the boys lunch at Arby's. Well when we were waiting at the intersection, a firetruck came up with it's lights on so everybody stopped to let it go through. Well everyone stopped besides one Wrecker Truck who decided to keep going. He slammed into this little green car that was in front of him. But the bad thing was after he slammed into this little car he stopped......... AND THEN KEPT GOING!! He went forward until he was away from the car completely. This turned the car around in a complete 180 until it was facing the opposite direction it was going in in the first place. I was absolutely stunned. We went ahead to go get the boys lunch but then on the way back decided they may have needed witnesses so we stopped to tell the cops that I had seen the whole thing. He took my statement and told me that the girl was 6 months pregnant. The stupid guy that hit the car was sitting there staring at me while I gave my statement to the cop. I totally didn't care though. He mowed that poor little car down and I wanted to make sure they knew it.

We went from there to mom's hospital, to Target (YAY TARGET!) and then to Cheddar's......again. We are always at Cheddar's. It drives me crazy. I do NOT like it there. We had some appetizers there and then went to Wal Mart and back home. The day was pretty uneventful other than the MASSIVE car accident. But I did get some cute pics along the way. :)

Also, Zeek has been feeling under the weather the last few days. He is getting sick easily because he has not been sleeping well. I ask that you all keep him in your prayers, that he would get better soon and start sleeping better. He is getting ready to start taking some business classes in the next week or so. He is looking forward to that. Who knew that this deployment would be such a good time to get college credits and promotion points. We are so very proud of him. He is doing a great job!

It's only 12:30 but today has been awesome! I got my t-shirt in the mail that I ordered from customizedgirl.com. It is so cool. It says, 'I love SPC Metzker' on the front and then the back of course says, '1/2 my heart is in Iraq'. I have been waiting for weeks to get this shirt and I am SO very excited that it came. I made our poster for the month (sorry it was 3 days late baby) and it was very nice to be able to put that we are over 1/2 done with this deployment on the bottom of it! 8 months down only 7 more to go! I am so proud of Zeek that I can not stand it.

I also want to thank Megan for bringing this page to my attention. This blog is so much better than the one on myspace so I figure it is a better way to keep all our friends and family informed on what is going on. I will let everyone know what me and the boys did during the day and I will also try to keep everyone updated on how Zeek is doing also. I am going to put his address up on here so if you can I ask you to send him a package, or even a letter. It really raises his spirits to hear from his friends and family while he's there. He needs to know that we all love him and that we're proud of the job he is doing there!

Well, like I said, It's only 12:30 so I'm sure I will post on here again today, but I just wanted to write my first blog down real quick so that everyone knows what we're up to and stuff. Hope everyone enjoys my blog. :)
